AUDIO DESCRIPTION SCRIPTWRITING
As a freelance writer, I provide high-quality scripts for audio-described productions. Whether film or series, drama, action thriller, comedy, documentary or children’s content, you will receive a script tailored to its target audience that captures the tone, dramatic structure and genre of the production and brings it to life.
My work combines a genuine passion for audio description with professional expertise. As a member of Hörfilm e.V. – the Association of German-speaking Audio Describers – adhering to the established standards for audio description in the German-speaking market is particularly important to me. This combination and the high standards I set for my own work ensure that every script meets both professional requirements and the individual demands of the production.
DIRECTION FOR VOICE RECORDINGS
To ensure that an audio description script not only reads well on the page but also sounds natural when spoken, I provide direction for voice recordings of both my own scripts and scripts written by others. I carefully monitor pacing, emphasis and pronunciation while making sure that every cue is delivered correctly. Whenever last-minute changes or adjustments are required, I provide fast and effective solutions.
SYNTHETIC AUDIO DESCRIPTION / SAD
As one of the first German writers to work with synthetic voices for audio description, I began using the Netflix Authoring Tool in October 2022. Since then, I have worked as a writer on more than 40 projects comprising over 10,000 minutes of described film and television content, as well as on more than 10 projects in QC and editorial roles, covering over 2,500 minutes of material. I am also highly experienced in working with the new Originator Studio.
EDITORIAL REVIEW AND QUALITY CONTROL
In collaboration with blind audio description writers, including blind audio description writer and editor Andrea Eberl, a German Audio Description Award winner and long-standing member of Hörfilm e.V., I provide reviews of both my own scripts and scripts written by others. Compliance with established standards, timing, clarity and accuracy are checked down to the smallest detail.
ACCESSIBLE VERSIONS
For additional accessibility services beyond audio description scriptwriting, I am happy to put clients in touch with my trusted production partners. Their services include voice recording and final mixing of audio description tracks, as well as subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.

About me
I have been working in audio description since 2016. I initially carried out script reviews for other writers together with my colleague Andrea Eberl, an experienced audio description writer and editor. This gave me an in-depth understanding of the craft and the standards it requires before, in 2018, I took on my first project as lead writer with the series AD VITAM.
That project sparked my fascination with writing and marked the beginning of a three-year journey that took me down a path I had never originally planned to follow: goodbye legal and technical career, hello life as a writer!
Since early 2021, I have been a member of Hörfilm e.V. – the Association of German-speaking Audio Describers – and have dedicated myself fully to working as a freelance audio description writer. My work allows me to bring together not only my professional expertise, but also my genuine passion for the craft.
As an avid film and television enthusiast, I find it deeply rewarding to help make this content accessible to blind and visually impaired audiences. In doing so, I can help others share in the diverse and wonderful stories – both big and small – that films and series have to tell.
